Giulia Colli Wagon on ebay
My flame suit is on, so fire away! I have lurked here before but now I have a contribution to the community, so here I am.
I saw the previous discussions on this car, and its sale from the older gentleman. Well, I bought it, went over it for a thorough and accurate assesment of its condition, and are now offering it for sale. Yes, it has some rust, but it is confined to the usual lower regions, the places where we all rust.
I have made a contribution to the forum fund, so please don't think that I am unappreciative of such a valuable tool and community. Feel free to ask questions via the bb or through the auction.
Here is the car:

Thanks!

Matt,
Thank you for the support and good luck on your wagon sale!
I'll be tuning in near the end to watch the fireworks.

Interesting that if you go to directly to e-bay, this auction does not appear!
His link shows the auction, but if you back up to Alfa cars for sale, it does not show up.
Voodoo perhaps??

Thanks for making sure the BB members are aware of this sale. Glad to see it is quite salvagable. It would be cool to see its history.

When you post a car on eBay, they give you a direct link, but for some reason, the auction does not show up for a few hours and sometimes the next day. I've always thought this was a little weird, but it's just how eBay works.

Oh! how the gears are turning in my head! I've wanted one of these for years! Once again the right car, the wrong time!

Nice pick up. I have the feeling the car might end up back on the other side of the pond. Good luck with the sale.

Dave,
I also fear this might happen. More and more desireable European cars are being purchased by Europeans. This Colli started out in Italy, it was used as by Alfa Romeo for 3 years before it was sold to an Alfa dealer from the US who was visiting with the president of Alfa at the time. It was shipped here in '70 and was used as a parts fetcher, run around car until it was sold again in 1980. Interesting story.

You should add that info to the auction as I think it will increase the cars value. Especially if you have any documentation that states the prior.
As I'm sure you know the value of a car like this is not for just the vehicle, but also for the story that comes with it.

Not at all. While I do hope to sell the car for a profit, I am very pleased that it will not be going to the crusher or spending more time rotting away in a driveway. If the pics help anybody else, all the better.
But you forgot the "AFTER" pic of the oil pressure gauge. The one above is the "before" with the car at rest. The other shot shows the great oil pressure the engine was making!

Last chance to pick up an appreciating classic ... they aren't making any more of these! The last true Colli offered in the US was for $37,000. You can drop a ton of cash into this one and still be way ahead of the game.
