Talking Looking for a 164S/B/L...

Hey Alfa people, guess what? I need a car!

I'm looking for a decent 164S/L/B and I plan on buying in about a month. Must be five speed.

I'd be willing to buy something that's a little less than spectacular in terms of overall condition (and mileage), but for a good deal of course.

I'm located in Southern California and I'd prefer to deal locally, but if the deal is good enough I'd be willing to drive out a good distance to check out said vehicle.

Kudos to a car that's been lowered, changed rims, engine work... Etc.

Can't really think of any other prerequisites at the moment... So I guess that's about it.

Have a good one.

Just buy a B/L model that is a 5-speed if you can't find a S. They did make them lots of them. The body is the same it is just the lower cladding that is different.

Here is one near you with S engine, etc, http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/164-...b-5-speed.html that maybe a good fixer upper.

You plan on doing all the work on this car yourself, right? Like Steve said. lots of B/L models came with the manual transmission. I'm driving a manual 164B the the PO put the S fin on the trunk and I happened to have a set of S wheels.

Steve and Rich, thanks for the insight... I'm learning something new about these cars everyday. Yeah, a B or L model in five speed would work fine for me. I could always do the upgrades as I go along.

Is there a way I could edit the title of this thread? I think I might be losing some offers because of it. :/
