57 Sprint Small nose, small headlight

Reluctantly offering for sale 57 Sprint 1493.05149 engine is now a 1400 Veloce 1315.30430 Still titled to original owner Purchased 31 August 1957 by Charles Mandatory CA title in his wifes name from 1961. My father, Mac Macgowan purchased from Charlie in late 70's. Dad was in process of restoration when he passed in 1997. Engine is a real Veloce with late DCOE'S for better drivability. Converted to floor shift. Still a tunnel case. Have parts for column shift. Front suspension finished. Many interior parts done, althought not totally correct. Dad was going to use this a a driver so was not concerned with being correct. New spare windshield. Correct Carrello headlights.5 Borrani's ready for tires. 4 Michelin's (used) will be mounted for shipping. Only part that I think is missing is bottom of airbox for DCOE carbs. Have Veloce cannister and brackets. I have personaly known this Alfa since 1962. Most of the paint is still original. Roof in primer. Rust in RF corner of hood. Slight rust at rear of front seats. Unique opportunity to own a very special Alfa. Contact Karen Dale Macgowan at fastalfa1@aol.com Wrong image of my 79 Sedan. More pics later

If the paint is mostly original, can we assume that your dad was in the process of changing the car to red?

I will sort through all the parts today and post pictures tonight. Offers over $20,000. Dad was going to paint the car a deep red. I believe, with the exception of bottom to DCOE airbox, all the parts are with the car. Again, I will post more pictures tonight.

More pictures. Front suspension/brakes done. Rear not done. M/cyl rebuilt and installed. Front drums cut for 14" wheels. Longer RH studs installed. I think the correct studs are with the car. Have not found rear curved pieces that cover bumper mount. Mounts are there. Headers were Jet-Hot coated.

Only areas of rust are RF corner of hood and area under passenger seat. All other seems superficial. Rockers are open at bottom so that has helped alleviate rust. Hope all these pictures answer most of the questions.
