1985 Spider Veloce
This is not my car but I went and looked at it today; located in Zachary, LA (Baton Rouge area). It is a red 85 with a good body / wretched black interior. Sun faded and has a couple of quarter sized rust spots. Couldn't find any rust in the undercarriage or important spots. Gauges good, has hte A/C system all intact. Top mechanism and other interior hard parts are all in good condition.
Other issues - the owner likes spray paint and cheap hose. For whatever reason he painted the AFM and the valve cover silver and oversprayed onto the body. Like I said, needs a paint job anyway, but it tells a lot.
It would run if you installed four new runner hoses; he might do that this week. Not sure where he's getting his parts as he informed me those hoses were $50 each. He's into the car about $2k - which includes a bunch of new parts - and hopes to get that out of it; I offered $1k and he said he'd hold off.
This is a good bodied car for someone needing it. It needs an interior and a paint job but wouldn't take a lot to get driving.
