Well.... it wasn't exactly a scoop. We've known for a while...

I'll see it on Sunday, for sure, perhaps Saturday at our show too.

I don't remember this exact video being posted, its more of the 8C in dark spy guise at nurburgring, from awhile back.. but pulling some nice laps looks like, check out around 2 minutes...
<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ag4jSyle9Cw"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ag4jSyle9Cw" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

Im laughing because you can clearly see him moving out of the way of people wanting to "race" heh.. and that Merc passing it by video from the same time comes to mind... seeing the 8C around that same hairpin at full speed shows you the merc woulda just been left in the dust.

Funny moment near the beginning, its ugly big brother (ok distant cousin) the 599 passes by, The 8C even in camo looks better...

- Eh, what wrong wheel drive??? 8C has been in Europe for several years, huh???

Someone better get their act together and write some decent auto material.

In principle I agree with you about decent writing.

However, the 8C has in truth been around - not only Europe but also elsewhere - for years, if only as prototypes and exhibition models. Can't disagree about the wrong wheel drive silliness though....

Haha. But it still looks good. If I were still a toddler, that's what I'd like to be seen in.

I guess I'll be the first to mention... The Quadrifoglio is back.. From factory..? Not sure im feelin the decal, but it looks like a nice lacquered inset finish type, hmmm...

Tell them it should be tad bit smaller Sakiss, of course it now will be, cuz Alfa I know listens to you. heh.

Interesting for those keeping track, I think we now know why they had all the black padding on the front panel at the Nurburgring test...

Alfa Romeo to begin delivery of 8C Competizione
Luca Ciferri
Automotive News Europe
September 10, 2007 -- 06:01 CET

Next week’s auto show in Frankfurt will also mark the start of sales for Alfa Romeo’s limited edition 8C Competizione supercar. The car will carry a price tag of 165,000 euros.

German customers will be the first to get the 450hp two-seat coupe, which is built for Alfa Romeo by Maserati.

Of the 500 units to be built, Germany and Italy will each get 80 units. The US will be the largest market in terms of allotment -- 90 units -- but the last in getting the car in late 2009.

Limited edition

Alfa Romeo plans to sell 500 units of the 8C Competizione super car. Here is where they will go:

USA: 90

Germany: 80

Italy: 80

Japan: 70

France: 40

UK: 40

Switzerland: 35

Others: 65

Let me get this straight. The 8C's are all being built this year. The 8C will be imported to the states next year. Does this mean it will be a 2008 model in the states when it is sold here in 2009?
