Anybody else notice that on the Spider and these last coupe pictures that the headlight assembly has been switched to a three lamp setup? The lens cover now cuts further inward, a look that's not as clean as the original show car.

Good spot!... I always thought the headlight assembly was underdeveloped and didnt even seem to have a turn signal? So its a good thing this isnt just a CGI dream and is becoming something real I guess hah..
Both headlight assembly's STILL look underdeveloped I think.. just look at the headlight assembly of most cars they are more defined then this. Especially expensive ones like this will be. I still love it!

Beautiful car, but how many of us are going to be able to afford it's $100,000+ price tag if it actually does come here?

Unreal set of alloys anyone now the size of them?
If they do make theres bound to be some mad people with enough money to be able to afford it, and sure most of the rich people want to be exclusive hence all the flash cars like the Aston Martins, RR, Bentleys and the Ferraris so they would love the Alfa if it came to America it's completely exclusive like.

Yea the alloys look like the 156 gta wheels on steroids, those have to be 19's? i would guess, which means you could probably fit 20's bling hah.
I think plenty of people who arent even Alfa fans (although that will help) would be able to afford and buy this car, IF, the car is a good car, I mean looks arent everything, how will it perform etc. but the looks are drop dead gorgeous, and to me this convertible looks like a much much better proportioned BMW Z8, and those sold for like 120-60? Of course it had the whole yuppy following to help, but still.
Hey Johnei, if you took these pics? Did you get up close and tap on the car? Steel or Carbon? Or has that been dispelled awhile ago and I missed it?

No sorry, I'm stuck here in chicago... I just borrowed those pictures from another site - I think the same ones appear in 2 other threads on this site as well. Being cynical I hope that car is made very cheaply because we all know Fiat/Alfa is a bit short these days. Also, notice the plastic white chains everywhere - you can't get too close to those cars.

There are even more detail changes on the spider @ monterey. First, the headlight lens cover has been re-shaped again to a more pleasing oval design. Second, the shield looks (from this angle) like a big piece of plastic, very unattractive. The intakes also have that cheap gray plastic look instead of the chrome accent strip. They also lost the lights nestled into the corners. Personally, I really like the front end details on the sketch on the previous page. That had slits on each side of the shield (1930's touch) and a horizontal chrome strip in the intake opening leading out to the lights in the corners. There also appears to be a turn signal in the front of the vent behind the front wheel (same gray plastic there too).
Please Alfa, don't change that rear, it's beautiful!
I may not be able to afford one any time soon, but this car would do wonders for Alfa's image here. It would be very hard to argue that many (any?) other cars on the road look this good. And I believe that gorgeous cars will always sell no matter how well they perform because most buyers want to be seen in such stunning vehicles.
Alright Alfa, I've made your pitch for ya, now back me up!

I was thinking the same thing about the grey plastic spots, but, its very very overcast day as you can see in the reflections, and those pieces are perpendicular to the sky, so Im hoping those are actual metal pieces that appear flat due to the conditions, The headlights look much better now, the dark edge of the assembly is very reminiscent of the McLaren. I still think it needs a little more hah. Hey.. anyone want to speculate what monstrous turn signals would be put on the USA version? ugh...
I didnt like the slits, even though it was reminiscent of the 1930's stuff, I don't really see any crude slits, slots, or the like on any other section of the car so it did look a little odd, I think liberties were taken by the cg artist who made that concept image..
I too liked the circular lights and the strip that are now gone?
Bytheway, today IS the day right? How's the 8C look!? And how about the 3 Bat cars that looked underwraps in some of the preview stuff I saw. Anybody bringing a 10 meg Digital camera to show us the goods?

I went and I was FLOORED!! I will sell everything I own to get one of these next year if I have to. I took over 300 high res pics and have a half dozen or so of the 8c that I just downloaded to my computer and they came out awesome.[yeah] No interior shots because you couldn't get close enough but from what I could see, I love it. I also got good shots of the 3 BATs.
I really don't feel like resizing everything. My web site is down so I don't have web storage. Anybody wanna throw me a quick tutorial and a site to post the pics?
As for the 8c, somebody at Alfa finally pulled their head out of their collective asses and got it right. Drop dead sexy styling, front engine, RWD, 500HP, 6 speed. I have heard a lot of "rumors" here but I spoke to some folks at the Councours that were there the day before and saw a presentation Jay Leno gave on the car giving it much praise. They said Jay spoke of how the car would "street" for ~$60,000USD. That sounds much more realistic to me. Now all Alfa has to do is ship them to
Off-topic: I also scoped out the new Maserati Birdcage 75th and that thing is off the hook! Contrary to other lame rumors, it has a v12 and sounds straight up like a true race car. Sounded much better than most of the current Ferarri crop! The word on this car is it too is supposed to also make the leap from prototype to production car for next year. As soon as I figure it out, I'll throw those pics up too if you guys want.

Send a PM or e-mail to smestas - il presidente of this site - and he'll give you instructions on uploading your photos for a gallery he's putting together. You can find his post about it in the Pebble Beach thread in the Picture Room forum.

Lol they def have the bling factor all right
I was thinking around 19's aswell myself. Never thought of them as 156 GTA alloys on steroids but as you mention it they do look like them.
As for the BMW Z8, Clarkson has the car featured in one of hos videos and he just slates lol, not really a fan of them don't mad about there styling and price wise you can get allot more car for the money and a nicer one I think.
