Car Magazine December 2006

"Absolute Alfa
We drive the glorious 8c Competizione
the coolest italian of modern times
"

"In December's issue
ON SALE NOVEMBER 1st! It's the coolest, most stirring Italian sports car of modern times, and CAR is the only magazine in the world to drive it. Welcome to the Alfa 8C Competizione"

"Driving Alfa's Ferrari beater
It's a world exclusive for the explosive new issue of CAR magazine, on sale from 1 November. The 8C Competizione is an Alfa that will cost over £100k and out-punch its own brothers from Ferrari and Maserati. A year before it goes on sale and ages before any other magazine on the planet, CAR gets a drive… "

"World exclusive: we drive Alfa's supercar
Alfa Romeo's achingly beautiful 8C supercar has the performance and dynamics to match its looks. We know, because CAR is the only magazine in the world to drive it.
Our December issue, officially on sale today (1 November), includes an 11-page feature on the new supercar, with breath-taking images of the car shot in Alfa's old Arese plant.
CAR Online has told you the 8C basics, that the supercar has a 4.7-litre V8 packing 450bhp, and that the lightweight beauty can devour the 0-62mph sprint in 4.0sec, before blasting onto 185mph.
But in the latest CAR magazine, we can reveal the feel of the controls, the sensation of its acceleration, and how sharply it handles. And in Georg Kacher's world exclusive, we also reveal how much input Ferrari and Maserati have had in the 8C.Ferrari helping to create an in-house F430-botherer...who'd have thought it?"

Car magazine usually hits the stands on my coast about a month after it hits Europe. I'll look out for it in December.

I fit easily in an 8C Competizione (and I am not the shortest with a length of 188 cm):

LOL!

The F360 Spider with roof up and the 8C have more headroom actually than the Brera and the new Spider.
