Than if you go lighter yuo need aluminum frame and carbon or composite panels but carbon prices go up everyday. So i don t think it will be possible. The only Alfa that look light weight is the Diva but i don t think it ll go under 30 000us
I don't know if it is possible or not, but in the 1960s there were a number of small berlinas that weighed not much more than 2000 pounds. As I said earlier, I'm sure it could be done, but no idea at what price.

The MazdaSpeed 6 probably will weigh 2800-3000 pounds (the Mazda website doesn't give the weight), and it will have 263 horsepower, with a window sticker of something like $22,000 (plus taxes and license, but not counting any discount one might get). I don't know why Alfa doesn't build something like this; more in the tradition of the TI Super or GTA...

I believe the mazdaspeed 6 is about 3500lbs. With all airbag and equipment that modern car "need" it is almost mission impossible to go cheap and light. In the 60 the car were lighter but they also rust like crazy and the block were small. Now with ac, anti pollution system ( new catalyst are so heavy) and all the wires for the computers and all the protective beams and bumper for safety, you go way over 1500kg. unfortunatly. Even the M5 is near or over 2tons. That is crazy.

They should add footage of the sportivo to that video, since the front borrows obvious cues from that car, plus the one off is beautiful, maybe because its silver alfa doesnt want to use it. There's ways around that.. wink

So should I be flattered or chalk it up to coincidence that Alfa chose to show its "colors" now featured on their webpage by using the same pic I randomly chose to alter? lol I've known Alfa comes to the forums, but now im sure of it..
Oh well, i think my photoshop work was better. :P but thats why i get paid the big bucks. heh.

It seems that all the models have been sold. No car will be delivered to dealer then if nobody bought a car there. Is it true Sakiss?

Sorry, I meant that I think the new MazdaSpeed 3 (not 6) will weigh less than 3000 lbs, and have 263 hp.

Seems kind of heavy for a small 2-door coupe, unfortunately.

The Speed3 is a 5-door wagon.

Yeah, just like the 8c is just another unreliable, troublesome Eye-talian rust bucket.
