I am rebuilding my front calipers and am wondering if there is a source for ATE Silcone assembly paste in the US or should I just use Permatex or other? I would imagine the domestic stuff would work fine but would prefer to buy the ATE product if at all possible, thank you!
If you plan on putting the calipers back on the car and driving it in short time, there is nothing wrong with using brake fluid. If it will be a while, assembly lube is the way to go. Papajam has a source for it. If you lived near me, I'd let you borrow mine.
Thanks, it could be a month so I think I will reach out to Papadam -thanks!
