If they did build it, I wonder what price point it would come in at?

Alfa has done so much to whittle away at their brand equity over the past 15 years, I doubt whether they could take a Porsche / Maserati price point and get away with selling more than a few at this stage.

They need to do like Audi did and slowly build back up to a premium position over the next 10 years.

So - while I love it, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it.

Alfa's been whittling away at brand equity since the early 1950's although it seems to be coming back a bit.

Whittling away

Well, not lately, I think since the 156 came out, that Alfa has been totally on an upward spiral.

But with the price Alfa is sure to charge, we'd all have to chip in just to buy one car! Then we'd all fight over who gets it over the weekend.

Since a 156 GTA whit a few options are around 50,000 EUR, the price of the 8C Competizione 'if they build it' will be + or - 110,000 EUR...

They will be to closely to the maserati Coupe, this car will never be built

the big mistake for fiat - alfa now its the kamal concept, if they buid a smal SUV they will fight hand to hand to the new BMW X3, why the hell fiat compete whit his own brand?, left the porsche to maserari dam** it

8C.....what a great concept. I think Alfa should go after multiple markets with this one. A mildly turbocharged convertible V6 "6Ct" version to go after the 350z/Z4/RX8/S2000/WRX market. Normally aspirtated performance tuned high compression V8 "8C" to go after the Corvette/M edition market. And finally the twin turbo V8 "8Ctt" to go after the Viper/Z06 market. What a great concept.

Hell....I know I am dreaming.....but why not dream big.

Best Regards,
John M

although it mite be costly, alfa does need some high profiling german rivaling cars to boost its image and make it a serious competitor, what can an ALfa 156 gta really do vs a bmw m3,audi s4 or benz c32 amg, hek cadillac just came out with their new cts v8 5.7 400hp car, that thing has a corvette engine!but there on the rite trak, theyve introduced their gta models to give competiton in the lower segments where the 147 gta remains the most powerful and quickest hot hatch, all they need are some powefull rwd or awd 156's,166's gtv's etc.....
