competizione race version anyone?
Hi, new here. Not an alfda guy per se, but after seeing the topgear review of the new alfa hot rod I fell for it! By the sounds of the review it drives alot like my modded trans am. Gotta thrash it around...
Here's an idea for the home office for a street racer version...
(there's a plain version to see the differences)

92 views and no one speaks??? No opinions? Like it? Hate it? Thinks it's cool? Think it's lame? Like any of the colors or stripes?

I can see the wheel arches and wide tires.
I don't really care for all that other, and I don't believe you've improved on the factories work.
Looks kinda like a trans am.

Thanks for replying! Was getting old talking to myself! Did you like any of the stripes or zagato treatment? As for the race versions, well, it's all but mandatory on race cars. Look at grand am or lemans race cars. All of them have additional scoops and vents all over the place to let in cool air, vent hot air. And all of them get the obligatory race wing. Just trying to make it look like a race car. I know, it does make them look a bit rice rocket, but some of the stuff actually is race derived. It's just the ricers put the stuff on cars that never reach speeds that even need it. I do like the car, but it is almost too smooth and simplified in stock trim, it needs some detail.

Here's a hint at all the elements that go into modding the chops.
I show all the elements minus the base. And the base in motion as well as how it all looks combined. The race parts number quite a few.
elements
base
combined

I did not want to say anything negative, but since you asked. I think in stock form it is perfect, best looking car, never mind Alfa in many years, truly how an Italian sports car should look.
All the those mods could be useful when racing, but look hideous on a street car, really ricer and tacky in my opinion. I wonder how long until someone with more money than taste ruins one of the best automotive designs to come down the pipe in many years by trying to graft on scoops and wings. But hey thats just me, i am sure some people love the fast and furious look and think your version is the bees knees, me not so much.
The modern Ferrari california spider, is a horror of Italian design, trendy, gimmicky and just weird, Alfa nailed it with this design classic, timeless and just plain ( James bond voice ) Shexy. Now arent you sorry you asked for feedback.

No. I agree ascetically, the car is damn near perfect stock. And the boy racer looks are just for that, racing. I am 48, too old for fake ricer racers. The idea of all those parts is functionality.

Here's a flaired version with just the big wheels and tires. No racer boy stuff. I did leave badges and marker lights on. US specs require side marker lights...
Flaired
