4C coupe engine without engine conver

I removed my 4c engine cover and decided that the it really looked much more aggressive to leave it off. Without it the engine cover on, the engine compartment is much cooler, plus it looks much better.

Maybe sometimes it's better to leave things to the imagination. To be perfectly honest I'd say it looks better with the cover on, not much of anything intriguing to see there, just some hoses and a dipstick.

If stock cover is not aggressive enough for you, here's a selection of very expensive carbon fiber covers for 4C:

The cover just pops off. Near each corner has a pressure point. Just lift on the corner and it will pop up. It pops back on just as easy.

I've had my cover off just to see what the engine looks like. It's really quite ugly. Nothing but tubes, hoses & lines haphazardly placed. Reminds me of a dieing patient in the hospital hooked up to life-support.

In the good old days, we could clean up the engine bay and show off a beautiful engine. But, watching a 500 pound woman do a strip tease is not a beautiful site. Please, put your clothes back on, before I go blind.

Cover

Covering that abomination was a great idea!

It's funny how ugly all modern motors have become. The coil on plug is an eyesore for sure. The meracan hot rod guys have been trying to pretty up the LS motors for years to little avail.

Yeah. I thought the 80's engines were fugly as they added more and more to carbs to try and make them clever, but we have reached new heights. I guess because the cover is functional (noise control) that the designers don't give a stuff and that is why they are ugly, knowing that they will be covered anyway.

Even the F1 Honda engine in the McLaren is an eye sore ... ***!
