I really do not understand F1. Why does for example Mercedes Benz want to continue their F1 program? It is damaging MB’s image if the engines blow up of such a reputed concern and they are being beaten by Ferrari. Even if they do start winning where is the glory??
You have been made to look like a fool for the last couple of years.
Kimi could have won in 2003 but again an engine trouble. The press and spectators seem to enjoy themselves witnessing the failure and defeat of a competitive party.
F1 really has changed from recreational fun of just watching GP cars compete to viewers
who have a affective relationship with team/driver and into a business.
If I were MB director I do not want to place my company in a position when not reaching
a podium place my company would get murdered by journalists.
This is no fun anymore. When Ferrari isn’t up to par with the rest in the first couple of races they have to suffer critic reviews. Why???
F1 for me seems to be an insane place for a constructor to be. It costs too much money too.
Like to see more sportmanship and far less press interest.
