Hmmm. You might want to buy an automotive stethescope (they're pretty cheap at most parts stores) and try to pinpoint the knock. Then give the rebuilder a call with your symptoms. He may know better than any of us what it might be. For what it's worth, my 1600 Duetto's O.P. gauge reads almost the same as yours except revving it up over 3K brings it closer to about 50 psi. This after a rebuild of the bottom end (including pump). It has run fine for 30k since. I just found this in Braden's Alfa Bible "Modern Alfas show no oil pressure at all at idle with a hot engine, a characteristic I've never appreciated." p.36
