shallow sumps

I may have a couple of good used pumps- for reasonable! When I first started racing with a 1600, I tried the shallow sump (for ground clearance) At the end of the first weekend (at Willow Springs) I spun a rod bearing! My freind, Tranquilo Bulgarini, an ex Auto Delta mechanic, chastised me for using it. He explained how the deep sump was developed (as used on gtas) because the Jolly Club of Milan were loosing motors on their TI supers. Personally you may be better off with a brand new pump and a new/used bottom pan. Fred.
