I don't think you're going to have much luck finding an NOS short pump or gears. I don't look at ebay every day but I've never seen one there. Your best bet would just be to replace your shallow lower sump with a deep one and use the new style pump. That's what I did on my 67 Spider. A new sump is available from IAP or Centerline for less than $150.00. Good used ones show up on ebay for $25 - $50, depending on who's bidding that day. Good luck.
