Rear side window frames on the GTV is prone to rusting under the chrome trim pieces. Luckily the driver side has but a couple of heavy rust spots.

I decided to remove the welded seal channels on the B pillars so as to get at whatever rust is under there and to facilitate repair at the bottom corner where water seems to get trapped.

Again the spot welds were drilled through and upper/lower ends were cut...channels were only showing mild surface rust. Because the ends of the channels were brazed to the chassis, the residual braze material left cannot be MIG welded over. So I decided to make up new channels instead of trying to remove and patch these old ones.
