Yes! EXACTLY like that, perfect!

I think auto transmission would be the way to go (both ends). Can't see if that has a manual in the back but the rods leading from the front suggest that might be the case. I bet the acceleration and weight distribution is pretty good, though the range on that fuel tank might be limited. Just imagine the sound, too...! "Turning engine 1... turning engine 2..."
