Time to start looking deeper.
I took into consideration all the great feedback and mixed it with a couple concepts of my own. I reverted back to rectangular-ish lamps but raised the bar and modernized them more. Take a close look at this latest draft as there are A LOT of small details.
Here are the highlights:
Lamps are reverted horizontally and the end pick-up points are fully matched to the new lines that I decided to keep parallel across the front for simplicity.
Within the lamps outer edges and across the top in the thin bright white space are modern day driving lights. No not Audi's specs. Just a thin constant 45 degree bend lamp. Inside and next to those are HID lamps with the largest ones as high beams. The front and side turn signals are indicated with a thin amber diagonal strips (both front and fender ones available on this model..

) that also wrap around onto the fenders. Then to tie in everything, the lamp's frame introduce a the frenched-in look to mimic the air dam.
The Zagato Jr clear section remains centrally in front with those 10 cool detail inserts. All this (along with the lamps have been angle repeated to mimic the new lower front air dam and bumper.
Lastly, I got rid of mirrors and the blacked out hood and slotted in a stretched GTV6 bulge and angled it up (but not in line with the lamps inner edges or and air dam's diagonal line as I didn't feel it was necessary).
This is where we're at. Now, man-up, tear it apart and tell me where we're still failing or missing the mark.
