I spun an '81 Spider once and bent the rear locating trunion and trailing arms and broke a rear wheel. The tub (remember, our spiders are unibody) was still straight, but the rear wheels were "adjusted" slightly to the left (looked like an old dog trotting down the road). All that was done was a check of the internals of the axle, a new trunion and trailing arms, new springs/shocks (I think I asked for that), a new anti-sway bar, and some wheel work (including a new/old alloy wheel and new tire). I even had the car resprayed, and I think it all came out to around $3,000(?) That was in 1988, however.

Unless you do not have coverage for repairs or you were drunk or something, your insurance company should pay something, shouldn't it? Why else did you buy insurance?
