Alfa's in general?

Well there like real pretty girls. Fun but require TLC. The motors in the spiders are very reliable, same design since 1956 so they had time to get it right. The gearboxes don't appreciate ham fisted use, which will cause syncro wear leading to the common crunch issues , but if properly shifted they are realiable too. The electrics are crude but easy to figure out and work well if properly maintained. The suspension system and brakes are very advanced for the day and again work well and are reliable with proper maintenence. The bodywork is solid but very prone to rust and thus best kept dry and never driven on salt covered roads. The Bosch fuel injected cars, as mine is, start easy and run well as long as none of the hoses are leaking. Parts are easily available and fairly inexpensive. Little things seem to need attention quite often, rarely things that leave you stranded, but I still would recommend them only as toys rather than daily transport. Overall they are a bargain compared with other Italian machinery and very enjoyable to drive.
