Hi again,

I have been using the standard 1.7 8V coil, and have not had any issues so far. I know they are different part numbers, and I suspect someone else on the board will know exactly what the difference is and how much it matters.( if it does )

Once you plug everything into the right place on the engine, the number of wires you need to worry about is actually rather small.

The big black & big red wires, go to earth & battery, white to coil and the all important two pin connector with the pink & pink/white wires. One of those takes a feed from the ignition circuit to the ECU, the other is the power feed to the fuel pump. (Cant remember which is which from memory, but happy to check if needed) There are a few vacant sockets on the loom that don't seem to be doing anything. If you have any concerns about any aspect I can do a photo if you need to sort it out.

Great to hear it's progressing well !
You'll love the extra surge from the 16v, its a nice sharp engine. :-)

All the best
David
