I also thought you were joking. A W154 without wings... Where and when the hell should a "normal" W154 (163 is the 1939 engine's designation, not the car's) should have wings??? (OK, I know of the streamlined version) But there's more: on Stu's photo, the car seems to be a two seater, the driver being offset, do I see wrong? Please show us some document with a W154 two seater and comment on the driveshaft layout. And marginally, the car in the picture seems a little bit higher than W154s used to be...
About the train story and the guess that SF30 was on it. Well, saying it's a guess is fair enough...
