an impressive little fan box, you must have been pissed when you grabbed first gear! I feel your pain, still, I am sure you can tweak it and then you'll be warmer than your average Alfisti :-).

Huge project you've unertaken, they always start off smaller though don't they....and then just grow. I know my twin charge conversion was going to be a lot smaller....but then you start touching things and think 'hey, I could do that so much better'!

Even though I think psk may have just been having a toung in cheek jab at you, I'll bite a little. I totally udnerstand why you are modding an Alfa the way you have. Alfa did some things realy well, for the most part styling (I think there are a few alfas that missed the styling brush but lets not go there). I mean the 105 is one hot little car, it will always turn heads. One you slip into an Alfa interior you are transported to a happy place far far away from electronic wizardry, airbags and and 'special' Japanese grey elephant scrotum plastics.

No one will argue that the electrics do not age well and endless blown/dim bulbs do not take you to that same happy place. I think many will argue with the removal of the Alfa engine, the 'heart of the car', the engineering masterpeice...etc etc. OK, I have retained it for my project, and I love the motor, but there is no way in hell that motor is going to make 220hp in NA form, and its a brave man that revs a street Alfa to 9500rpm ...not saying it can't be done, but I don't think the bearings last long at that lofty height. The Alfa motor is a beutifull thing for its time, but engines have come a LONG way since then and to be frank, if its hp you're chasing, they are smarter engines to use.

I think you might be a little like me in that I like a challenge, and if someone says it can't be done, I'd probably do it to prove it can be. Good luck with the conversion, this will be one very fast, nimble, and streetable beast with all the styling ques of a timeless Alfa.

Rant over, back to the shed with me, engines don't build themselves :-)
