1967 GTV Chassis / Project Car

Dear So Cal Alfisti,

Here is a preview of the ebay posting that will appear this weekend. Photos are also posted below. If you have an interest in this car, please contact me at alfa-sport@excite.com

Thanks,

Up for sale again with a new lower reserve; 1967 GTV chassis with VIN AR246615. This Giulia Sprint GT Veloce was manufactured on 10/31/66 and sold to Alfa Romeo in Newark, NJ on November 2nd, 1966. Color is Alfa red (AR501). A clear California title goes with the car. All fees are paid and it is currently in non-operational status, which means that it does not accrue additional fees.

The following work has been carried out by Italmeccanica in Huntington Beach, CA:

- All parts, nuts, bolts, wires….everything, were removed.
- The interior sound deadening tar was removed.
- Welded-in: new front floor pans and inner, mid & outer (3) rocker panels. Each layer was painted before being enclosed.
- The complete underbody, the engine compartment, the trunk (boot) area and the full interior were sand blasted.
- Sand blasted areas were painted with grey etching primer.
- Outer fenders have had the rust areas removed (see photos).

Included with the chassis:

- Fiberglass rivet-on wide fenders flairs.
- Doors, trunk lid & hood.
- Steering column, box with idler and links.
- Front suspension including hubs, spindles, a-arms and springs.
- Rear suspension including axle with trailing arms and springs.
- Brake calipers, front and rear.
- Wheels are not included.
- Glass is not included.

There are no signs of collision damage - anywhere. This is a very straight and solid car.

I currently have well over $4000 invested in this car. But is a project for which I do not have time; my intent was to make a light-weight race car with GTAm style fenders (as the early 105 chassis is lighter than the later year versions). I have included photos with original period Italian fiberglass wide fender flairs; these are taped on for reference only. The wide flairs are included in the auction. I can assist with the delivery within a close range, if the final price exceeds the reserve price. Buyer pays shipping; payment by money order or Paypal (non credit card).

Please note the following:

- The dolly is not included in this sale.
- I can sell the buyer a set of old wheels with old tires for about $200.
- I can have the suspension installed for trailering purposes for about $200.
- The car can be inspected in Costa Mesa, CA.
- If you have further questions you can contact me at: alfa-sport@excite.com
