Hi Ken- P.m. me your number and I will share with you a few things. I will do anything I can to help.
Rich D. You know me better then that. I do plenty of dumb things, but not that dumb!
Richard- yes it is the real deal. It ran the Shell 4000 in Canada back its prime. We have two of them. Both have race history. The one you see is mine. The other is a local race prep shop owners. BTW, I need body panels do you have a supplier? I'll make them if must but I'd rather not.
Ye52026- I hope you enjoy. We try to make it fun and friendly. Nothing more, nothing less.
Alright, So as we said before this a 74 with those 74 heavy doors. Once the skin was removed, we then pulled the reinforcement beam and then drilled holes as to reduce weight,... 27 pounds! In one door. Now, all the holes we drilled will be flared later with a special press die system. I say this because if you can flare the hole, you will make the metal far more rigid then if the metal was uncut. If you have not seen this before stay tuned. Also when making this many holes I like to use aviation flares over automotive. I'll explain later.
Heres the door prior to cutting.
And after.
And other areas on this side of the car.
The parcel tray area before...
And after
Once all this is flared it will look so nice.
