Thanks. About three months ago I was beginning to despair, but it is now beginning to shape up a bit, so morale is back on track.

I like the idea of welding in the plates for a bolt-in cage - although I don't want a cage for road use it makes a hell of a lot of sense for track use, especially when using a harness. I'll try and get the dimensions for a bolt-in cage and move ahead with that idea. I think the way ahead is to build it so that I can change it quickly (under an hour) between track car and road car (and vice versa) - i.e. change seats, cage, and belts. (I am not in a race series, just messing about on the track.)

It was your car that inspired me with the back seat/shelf arrangement. I realise it is not original, but I thinks it is a 'sympathetic' period look - and you did yours very well indeed
