Patzo_3L who occasionally posts here had his GTV6 setup with std internals single turbo with power steering and it was a fkn quick machine! I think you will find forced induction or massive stroke/bore increase is the only way to get real torque low down. Hell, the 24v makes peak torque at 5500rpm.

What transaxle do you have? 4.11? If not, cheapest upgrade

My g'box is the standard Potenziata 1. I can't say for sure what diff ratio it has but the gear ratios are quite closely spaced.
I've had low diff ratio cars and the high cruise revs just get annoying. Get the thing to make some better torque and it's win win IMO.
It's a road car 1st, 2nd and 3rd. If I want to drag race I'll use the MR2 for it's traction, strong g'box and HP.
