I agree. If I ever get my car to the track, it fairly load, so I plan on using earlugs under the helmet. And if the noice is to much for others, they have things at the end of their arms called fingers, that make excellent temporary earplugs.
However, if it turns out that WSIR goes along the same path as Laguna Seca, and imposes a Decibel limit, I'll buy a muffler. And if the engine and mufller are tuned properly, there should be little or no lose of power.
That's my three cents, now we have a nickle.
