Hi Baldy, all up and running; tried to recreate a map from the 1.7 manual, ran ok but was a bit dissapointed. Downloaded a dyno tuned 1.8 ford zetec map from mj forums just to see what it would do, took it out today. I have created a monstor!!!!
Issue now is that the 1.7i.e. clutch that I fitted (brand new) now slips when I go into second (probably slips in 1st but so much wheel spin i cannot tell). Am getting some Yokohama A048's this week which will make it worse. I am changing gear at 8000 rpm at present and she wants to keep going, but with std rods etc just lightend I am nervous. I have never had a car that revs so freely (and I had a chipped Fiat 20v Turbo). I get to 2nd gear 8000rpm in about 6 seconds from standing start. Glad I put 16v discs and calipers on plus braided stainless hoses. will polish and post some pics next week.
