AT Running hot??

Hey guys I changed my tranny oil Saturday because the cooling fan when it came on it didnt turn off and I bypassed the thermo so oil always runs through cooler all the time. It doesnt heat the engine to much at all either so I was wondering that maybe I put the two sensor plugs on wrong sensor and need to switch them. I put the L shaped plug on bottom of thermo where big brass nut is and the straight plug on top. Is this right?? BTW the old fluid was pretty clean you know the normal wear and tear. But not brown or burnt really bad just the normal color of used tranny oil nothing out of the usual. But when I went to clean the filter it was pretty much full of crap looked like dirt or dust it was dark brown the oil itself was pretty clean. The Magnet had no metal shavings nothing just the usual stuff of when you wipe your finger on it your finger gets black. The tranny itself shifts even smoother now that I changed fluid. I changed the fluid back in August of 2006 and added here and there because it has a little leak nothing big though just the usual little drops from old age no puddles though. Tranny runs great I was thinking of getting a bigger cooler for it to cool it down a little more but cant find the right AN fittings with the right NPT I measured the Plumbing Bolts and the O.D. measure is .545 counted the threads and it looks like it 14. I called Nat Wentworth at Erickkson Ind. He couldnt really tell me what the threads were. AAhh yea guys just a heads up Erikkson Ind. DOES NOT SUPPLY the pressure lines that go to the cooler. Its why Im trying to modify the cooler with aftermarket braided lines because the one on my car are old and leaky or always wet. If any of you guys can get that right AN fitting or the the NPT of that tranny thread it will be a big help. Also If I need to switch the sensor plugs please let me know. Thanks
