I've had a few suggestions. One is that the outer part of the rear stub hubb can be cut off, and the shape of the lug nuts ensures centering.
Another concern is that the thickness of the alloy wheel is such that about 3 threads are not engaged. That is without a 3 mm spacer.
However, another change is underway. The tires that came with the car had all the traction of a billiard ball and I knew that the 175/65/15 tires would fit without fuss.
Unfortunately, these are .5 inch less dia that the original 155s, so I have a set of Conti 185/65/15 which have the original 24.5 inch dia.
This also may require some spacers at the front, so I've ordered a couple of sets of longer wheel nuts 60 mm--both left and rights.
When done, this will provide a little taller gearing , and 1/4 inch more ride height, which will allow lowering the front ride height by about 3/8. The ride has been high because the Alfetta sump on the 2L hangs down quite a bit.
The next stage is to put in a 1600 sump, which will give a 1/2 inch more clearance. The 2L oil pump is higher output, like the Veloce, and the 1600 pickup can be fitted.
Could have used the Vred 155/78/15, but the Contis I know to be v. good in the dry and wet.
