Greetings Chris: Technology helps today. I have a wireless broadband card in the laptop, and the iPhone can do most of this over the air. The "staged" phone pics are the key - didn't have to extract all those pics we took sightseeing. Also, our AlfaBB's tools are fantastic, encouraging the effort. For most of the trip we actually travelled moderately, leaving ourselves the luxury of leisurely meals and adequate sleep. Oh, and I had a bit of time on my hands in Ohio...

Re the smog - graciously, the great state of CT has no inspection for cars over 25 years old. That is one reason I was not interested in later year GTV-6s. And no doubt, it would not have passed given the oil she consumes.
