Rafael- the cars has a sunroof, 67 gt style parcel tray area and other little things.

Baka! In paint, metallic or not, the binders and blenders make up the majority of the content. Binders and blenders are clear in color. The pigment (tint), level of metal flake (corse, medium or fine) are only a small percentage. In this case the amount of fine aluminum is very high. This makes the paint heavy, and the base coat can easily pull on the vertical. So gun pressure, material rate have to be adjusted to compensate. Back in the day when Maserati made this paint it was a single stage and would have been much easier to deal with.

BTW, I will be painting the inside of the hood today and the car will be ready for Group two, to do the suspension Monday.
