Yep, the opposite works too. My Duetto's 1600 block had a 1750 head on it for years! I was enough of a novice that I didn't notice it until a couple years after I rebuilt it.
We didn't get the 1750 engines after '71 here in the U.S. I'm curious, do the later euro 1750s still have the 8 bolt crank/flywheel? If so, I'm assuming the later 1300s do as well?
