Just Installed new S4 Seat Covers
Just installed new Skay & Alcantara seat covers from Alfaholics that I purchased last summer when I was over in the UK. Only took me a year to get around to doing it, but pictures are attached showing the results. I think the seat covers are first rate in quality and craftmanship. It was lots of work but fairly straight forward installing the covers. I re-used the existing seat foam and added some "extra" to fill things out properly. I'm thinking of scotch guarding the suede inserts to see if that will help keep them looking new longer and provide protection.
While I had the seats out I also refurbished the door panels and quarter panels that were severely faded like the old seat covers. I used SEM's Palomino Interior Vinyl Paint which, in my opinion, is about as perfect color match to the original as one can get. The product is also easy to work with and very forgiving. I also used it on the parking brake boot..we'll see how it holds up. You can be the judge on final outcome. I'm extremely impressed and pleased! I'm thinking about trying the SEM's black to do the door arm rests and speaker covers....haven't decided yet. See how the door panel application holds up first.
I also attached a picture of the car that gives a glimpse of the very faded old seats.
I'm new to all this Spider work, but am learning lots from this forum and all the threads posted from everyone's previous experiences/questions. An endless source of information!
