I don't know if an 88 with 90K is worth what your bike is worth. You can get super nice S3 Spiders with less miles for 5K. I got a very good S3 for $2600, it will need paint in the next few years but is OK for now, my interior is near perfect, engine is strong and it has 116k on the clock. If he is willing to kick in $2500 it may be worth it to you.
