As I know it - some or all may be true
- the previous owner an Alfisti was selling a few Alfas to fund his new Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione . He sold them through a well known ALfa specialist in the UK Jamie Porter - there was also a Montreal and a Miata with a Montreal engine! that I saw.
My car has done 60 miles in the last 10 years
In that time the owner fitted
New stainless steel exhaust
Resprayed wheels and new tyres
Rebuild of the water pump by a specialist engineer
Rebuild of the carbs
The hood and interior is brand new - unfortunatley now the hood ( soft top) has faded and shrunk!
Teething troubles now sorted
Clutch not releasing - great fun whan stopping from 70 plus
Some of the electrics - still no fuel gauge
Lose steering - packed steering box with grease -now tight especially at slow speeds
Odd bits
Road sign welded in to near side rear wing
Jaguar XJ6 coupe cills (rocker panel?) no jacking points
Good bits
Beautiful engine - will cruise at 90 all day long and accelerate from their
Bad bits
Like a truck at slow speed
cheers
Ian
