I have been told by Fabio Calligaris of the 6c2300/6c2500 register that just 19 of the Tipo 256 cars were built. They are very similar to the pre-war 6c2500SS cars, but have minor differences. I'm not sure exactly what they are; probably cams, compression, and things like that....
