One other thing to check is for the presence of the metal reinforcing ring inside the rigid plastic air duct. It can be seen here: embarrassing confession

If that metal piece is dislodged or missing then the clamp is only squeezing against the plastic of the duct.

Of course that doesn't explain how the hose gets pulled off the Air Flow Meter. Which leads us back to bad motor mounts. BTW, check the price of the plastic air ducts (be sure you're sitting down). If the clamps were to hold tight enough, bad motor mounts that allow the engine to rock far enough could tear the air duct ho$e.

And, bad motor mounts can allow the engine to rise UP (say on a bad bump in the road) and dent the hood!
