I would expect that the difference is that they are made by different makers. Wheather the new one will work as effectively as the old, I don't know. Where did you get the new one and whose box was it in? OEM for Alfa is Sachs of Germany. Many other makers in different countries also offer replacement cultches for Alfas, so that may explain it. I woud not install it until I got some assurance that it is correct for the Alfa. Way too much trouble to R & R a transmission just because some dummy sold you the wrong piece. Never assume that the parts you were sold are correct just because some low paid parts counterman pushed it across the counter or made up your shipment.
