In "whites"? Were you a course worker? I worked as a Cal Club flagger from about '72-'78. Worked the F5000 race and the first three F1 Events at Long Beach. I gave it up after my daughter was born. IIRC, Dan Johnson was the flag chief in those days...drove that billious yellow BMW 318.
