I have just taken delivery of my engine bottom end and components from the local engineer. I have had the following done:
1. Resize conrods and aligned.
2. Replaced all bush pins fit and aligned.
3. Linish the crank per pin
4. Balance complete engine assembly
5. Dummy assemble and measure main bearing clearances.
6. Measure conrod bearing clearances
7. Machined piston valve reliefs
8. Cleaned out all water jackets and cleaned the interior of the block.
Before I begin assembly...I am planning on cleaning the outside of the cast engine block and then thinking about spraying it with "VHT Engine Enamel" - Universal Aluminium colour...
Does anyone have any suggestions of the best products to clean the outer surface of the engine block and suggestions about spraying it??
