Steve I'm starting to tackle a similar problem on my 79 Alfetta GT, will let you know what I find. Do you have the dashboard indicator lighting up? On my Alfetta GT, fuse 3 feeds the flasher relay via a red wire. Coming from one spade of the flasher relay is a feed to the instrument panel indicator bulb via blue-black wire to pin 7 at the instrument panel connector. Coming from the spade beside the red feed from the fuse is a double feed- a black wire that feeds the turn signal stalk on the steering column, and a white-black that feeds the power to the emergency flasher switch. When you activate the column signal stalk, this completes the circuit and feeds the power sent to it from the flasher relay (black wire) and then on to the appropriate side for the turn signal lamps. Your wire colors may be different (I don't know what, if anything changed from the Alfetta GT to the GTV-6) but hopefully the basics did not and you can use this information to troubleshoot. I would replace the fuse, then remove the flasher relay and check for power, then continue to trace for power until you find none. Good luck!
