I could be wrong, but I think you'll find that gas is still cheaper in the US than most places in the world. The Toronto area where I live is no where near the most expensive place in Canada for gas, and it's over $1.26 per litre today. I think it's gone up about 5 cents per litre (about .20 per US gallon) this week
