The thread may be "pretty new" but I from what I understand the debate is fairly old. Drawing one's own conclusion, such a novel idea. 
The reason I asked this question regarding the 3.0L vs 2.5L manifold size difference is that I purchased a spare pair of what are supposed to be 3.0L manifolds and I want to make sure that they are in fact the "larger" version. Other than part numbers I have nothing to compare them to because the other 3.0L manifolds are of course installed on the engine.
