I'd get the electronic ignition and then get the TA rebuilt later (and dump the SSS) when more $$$ is available. I'm assuming it's running with the SSS set-up now. Reasoning is that the SSS is operating as a manual choke would be - the rebuilt TA isn't going to make it run better but just be "correct" and more conveinent. Theorically, it will run better with the electronic ignition. Points start to wear out from day 1. If you get the electronic ignition, set your plugs with a .005 greater gap.
