We used to use the Original Equipment Golden Lodge's in the UK in the late 80's. The current 1.5 in my 33 is running those too. I wouldn't be looking at plugs as the reason for fouling unless you have modified your engine, as others say incorrect mixture on one of the carbies is likely to be the cause. When the rebuilt 1.7 goes in next month I may have to rethink this as I'm aiming to run about 10.5:1 compression, so my reckoning is that it will get hotter. Remember that Italy gets pretty hot too so original spec's are valid in Aus.
