This is of course, the concept of vacation trades which is not new. I was searching the internet and there are a lot of companies that do it for yearly fees, or posting fees. I've found Alfa owners are quite honest and people have made virtual friend all over the world with healthy discussions. Would a category where people can kick off a discussion and start vacation exchange plans be a good idea?

We are a sort of club anyway, and clubs offer services to members as members have something in common and like to deal with other members. Local Alfa clubs can't really do this because all the members live in the same area. All the local Alfa clubs would have to have some sort of contact with all other clubs to do this. This BB is pretty worldwide. I realize that there are large groups in Australia and the US. I see a good many posts from Holland, Italy, France. A sprinkling from Malasia, Singapore, Sweden, Japan.

What does everyone think?
You're right the majority of Alfa people are honest and will go out of their way to be helpful and fair. My sister belongs to one of those vacation exchange/condo plans --- they pay something like $10k a year just for the privilege and don't always get what they want, where they want it, at the time they want it, and end up re-arranging their schedule based on what is available where and at what time. They have to submit 5 choices about a year in advance, and of course, are bound to a contract with performance rules. I'm sorry I don't plan that far ahead...

I think it's a wonderful idea, I just suggest that the parties involved understand all the parameters, even if that means signing a contract as to responsibilities and liability.
