It's fun that it causes reactions, not anyone of my other coworkers Vw passat/Volvo v70/Bmw get any attention at all.

Hahaha, an Audi 5000 wagon, what a piece of junk! The 5000 was regarded as one of the worst cars ever interms of quality and reliability. I still admire the shape, and the quattro has always been on my "must have before I die" list, but come on now, a 164 is 164 times more reliable then a 5000!
